Hobbs to be MC at
2011 MSHFA Induction Ceremony
DETROIT, MI

David Hobbs, a veteran of nearly every major championship
series in the world, a member of the SPEED
TV Formula
1 broadcast team and a 2009 inductee of the Motorsports
Hall of Fame of America, will
be the
Master of Ceremonies for the Hall of Fame's Aug. 24
Induction Ceremony at the Fillmore Theater in
Detroit.
Hobbs
was a professional racer for three decades competing in sedans,
sports cars and GT cars, including 20 starts in the 24
Hours of Le Mans. He also competed in Formula 1, the
Indy 500 and the
Daytona 500.
"We are
delighted to have David Hobbs as Master of Ceremonies for this
year's induction," said Ron Watson, President of the Motorsports
Hall of Fame of America. "His stature as a
Hall of Fame driver and as a highly regarded broadcaster
is sure to be a tremendous addition to the 2011 event.
